What is ClearCorrect?
ClearCorrect is a type of clear aligner orthodontic treatment. They’re made of a thin, translucent, and smooth plastic that is nearly undetectable while you wear them. Each set of aligners gradually move your teeth into their desired position.
To start your ClearCorrect treatment, you will first begin with a consultation with Dr. Grimshaw. Dr. Grimshaw will take external photos, x-rays, and impressions of your teeth. With these images, she creates a digital 3D image of your teeth to map out your personalized treatment plan. During your consultation, she will show you what your teeth will look like during each stage and tell you how long it takes to achieve your desired results.
Dr. Grimshaw will send your information off to the ClearCorrect lab where they manufacture each set of aligners. Once they return from the lab, you will wear them for the recommended time before moving onto a new set. Patients must wear their clear aligners for at least 22 hours per day and only remove them to eat, drink, or clean their teeth. Most treatments take anywhere from six months to two years to complete. Every 6 weeks or so, you will visit our Aberdeen dental office so we can check the progress of your treatment.
