Smile and Chew with Confidence Again in Just One Day
Patients with many missing or broken-down teeth whose mouths are beyond repair and denture wearers who are sick of loose, uncomfortable dentures can get a permanent solution with implant-supported new teeth. With All-on-4, Dr. Kuhn provides you with stable new teeth during a one-day procedure. The treatment restores nearly full chewing power and gives you a beautiful new smile you can proudly show off immediately.
New Teeth in a Day Without Office Hopping
On the day of surgery, Dr. Kuhn does any needed extractions, places the implants, and attaches temporary, fully functioning teeth that you can immediately use for chewing. The final set of highly aesthetic and durable teeth replaces the temporaries about three months later—after the implants have fully integrated with the jawbone.
Kuhn Dental Associates is a one-stop shop for all your dental needs. You’ll have an exam, extractions, sedation, dental implant surgery, and your crowns created at the same office by the same Aberdeen dentist. Without the inconvenience of switching offices for different parts of the procedure and having your crowns sent off to a lab, you’ll find that your experience is of the highest quality, quick, and easy.
Keeping patients comfortable is very important to Dr. Kuhn. We offer blankets and noise-canceling headphones. Dr. Kuhn is also certified in IV sedation and personally administers it when needed. At the same time, a registered nurse is present to monitor the patient to ensure comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
All-On 4 Dental Implants with a Physiological Approach
Physiologic dentistry is the field that focuses on aligning the upper and lower jaw to their correct position that allows for balanced and relaxed muscles. When the balance is off, it can result in an obstructed airway that leads to sleep apnea or other sleep disorders, TMJ, and discomfort.
At Kuhn Dental Associates, we take a physiologic approach to ensure your All-on-4 dental implants not only replace your missing teeth but provide you with a well-balanced jaw.
Often patients will experience TMJ or sleep apnea symptoms after getting dentures because the doctor did not consider the jaw muscles and balance during the initial treatment process. If patients experienced these symptoms before losing their teeth and never addressed the root cause, our physiological approach to tooth replacement could help.
When we design your All-on-4 dental implants, we prepare them to support your facial structure with the proper balance to help you achieve optimal comfort and resolve or prevent TMJ and airway problems.
We will examine your airway and jaw position during your consultation to determine if the balance is off. If it is, we will address it as we replace your teeth with All-0n-4 dental implants.
High-Tech, In-Depth Preparation
Meticulous planning allows the entire surgical procedure to happen in one day in one office. Before the procedure, Dr. Kuhn takes 3D X-rays to find the areas of the highest quality bone in your jaw. He then uses 3D software to simulate the surgery in detail ahead of time and create a surgical guide. The guide is placed over your gums, like a template, precisely guiding the implants into position on the day of surgery.
Because of the detailed planning involved, the implants can be inserted without any exploratory cutting or suturing. This allows us to perform the entire procedure quickly and efficiently, minimizing post-surgery discomfort.
No Need for Bone Grafting
A significant innovation of the All-on-4 procedure is using long, angled implants. These implants can reach areas of dense bone, and they provide more surface area for the jawbone to fuse with. This can eliminate the need for bone grafting for most patients who have suffered bone loss.
Benefits of All-on-4 Treatment
- Nearly everyone is a candidate for All-on-4, regardless of bone loss.
- The new teeth are stable, fixed-in, and never need to be removed.

- All-on-4 has a proven high success rate.
- The ability to chew normally keeps the jawbone stimulated, preventing bone loss and eventual collapse of the lower part of the face.
- The teeth do not move, slip or cause friction.
- The All-on-4 procedure immediately improves the patient’s quality of life and self-confidence.
Preventing Bone Loss
The All-on-4 procedure helps deter bone loss and facial collapse. Dental implants provide the stimulation needed to help prevent bone loss from occurring.
Missing teeth cause a gradual progression of bone loss until the face appears to collapse in on itself. Dental implants help prevent this from happening.
Comprehensive Exam and Diagnostics
Highly detailed images captured with our CT cone beam scanner are an essential aid for locating the best areas of jawbone to place your implants.
Dr. Kuhn will conduct a thorough exam of your teeth and gums to get all the needed diagnostics. Our high-tech CT Cone Beam Scanner provides us with a detailed view of your entire mouth to determine the quantity and quality of jawbone you have remaining.
This state-of-the-art technology gives Dr. Kuhn the information he needs to plan the best location for placing your implants. He will also determine how many implants you need to secure your replacement teeth and let you know if you might need more than four implants. If necessary, you can have another consultation to discuss contingencies and options.
Consultation
Your first step is a consultation with Dr. Kuhn. He will review your medical and dental history, explain the All-on-4 procedure, and answer all of your questions.
Keeping You Comfortable
We cater to our patients and ensure their comfort during every procedure. Dr. Kuhn is licensed to provide oral and IV sedation to keep you relaxed and free from pain.
Placing Your Implants
The big day is here! Dr. Kuhn has the procedure planned and knows exactly where to place your implants. He uses more than four implants to provide additional support in some cases. He will discuss this before the procedure–there won’t be any surprises!
We position the implants in the front of your mouth into the densest area of bone and the implants in the back at angles between 30 to 45 degrees.
Extractions
If extractions are required, Dr. Kuhn can take care of this during the same visit, before implant placement.
Walk Out With New Teeth In One Day
Immediately following the implant placement, We provide you with a natural-looking, functional set of temporary teeth. You can enjoy the benefits of a new set of teeth while your implants heal and fuse with your jawbone. Once the healing process is complete, you’ll come in for your permanent set of teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth.
