Did you know that poor dental health has been linked to depression? Now researchers have found that your oral health could also be a risk factor for this mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest.

Studies have examined the idea that poor dental health was caused by depression. However, this study found that people with more dental conditions also had depression that was more severe. Specifically, the data indicated that those people with multiple dental conditions had a significantly higher prevalence of depression than individuals without an oral health condition.
